The Feast of the Madonna del Carmine

The Carmine Festival is one of the most beloved summer festivals in Marano Vicentino, in the province of Vicenza. It is linked to the commemoration of the Madonna del Carmine, celebrated on July 16th, and takes place on the days immediately before and after, traditionally from July 15th to 18th.

Four Days of Celebration

The festival is set up in the spacious grounds of the Viale Europa sports facilities, with a large gastronomic stand open every evening from 7:30 PM (and also for lunch on Sundays from 12:00 PM). The evenings are enlivened by shows, live orchestras, themed evenings - from Latin American to Country nights, from foam parties for young people to ballroom dancing with an orchestra - as well as tombola and the traditional fireworks display that concludes the event.

Vicenza Cuisine Takes Center Stage

The gastronomic stand is one of the festival's strong points: among the specialties, bigoli all'arna (pasta with duck ragu) and gnocchi stand out, accompanied by mixed grilled meats, sausages, french fries, seasonal vegetables, homemade desserts, local wines, and draft beers. An opportunity to savor the traditional dishes of the Vicenza area.

A Community Gathering

The Carmine Festival combines the religious dimension - with Mass and the procession of the Carmine - with the popular and convivial aspect, attracting numerous visitors each year. It is one of the events that best captures the essence of summer and the identity of Marano Vicentino.
