The musical festival of the Messina summer

The Capo Peloro Summer Fest is the summer concert series that lights up the Arena Capo Peloro in Messina throughout August 2026. The venue, reclaimed from the former Sea Flight shipyard area and returned to the city after decades of abandonment, is a large open-air arena overlooking the Strait, at the northernmost point of the Municipality of Messina, in the Torre Faro / Capo Peloro area. Its panoramic setting, nestled between the sea and the iconic Strait pylons, is one of the most evocative spots in Sicily for summer live music.

The 2026 lineup

The first edition of the Capo Peloro Summer Fest offers three major events featuring top-tier artists from the Italian scene:

• Levante — August 18, 2026
• Fiorella Mannoia — August 22, 2026, with the show "Fiorella canta Fabrizio e Ivano: Anime Salve," a journey through the songs of Fabrizio De André and Ivano Fossati
• Marco Masini — August 28, 2026

The organizers have announced a rich program, also open to international artists, designed to accompany the city's summer evenings.

Organization and context

The festival is organized by Puntoeacapo S.r.l. (artistic direction by Nuccio La Ferlita), in collaboration with Il Botteghino and the Municipality of Messina, as part of the "Messina City of Music and Events 2025-2026" project. The Arena Capo Peloro has already established itself in recent years as the premier open-air stage for major musical events in the city of the Strait, the capital of the province of Messina, in north-eastern Sicily.

The Arena Capo Peloro

Set up on a large area overlooking the sea, the Arena Capo Peloro is now one of the main venues for live entertainment in Messina. Its location, just a short walk from the village of Torre Faro and the Ganzirri lakes, makes it easily accessible and capable of combining music with the charm of the Strait, with Calabria visible on the opposite shore.
