About Capitel Festival
A festival born around a small shrine
The Capitel Festival takes its name from the small shrine on Via Colombero, in Fontane di Villorba, in the province of Treviso, built in the mid-twentieth century as a thanksgiving to the Madonna and blessed on April 25th. From that anniversary, a spring festival was born which, edition after edition, has become one of the most cherished events in the Marca trevigiana, reaching its 49th edition in 2026.
Food, games, and tradition
The heart of the festival is the food stand, open in the evenings and for lunch on holidays, with local specialties such as sopressa, gnocchi, and sausage. Traditional moments revolve around the food: the mass on April 25th, the evocative 'misura della corda', tombola (bingo), and the final lottery draw. A simple and popular formula that attracts the community of Fontane and neighboring towns every year.

The Capitel Festival maintains a strong link with its original spirit: the proceeds from the event are destined to support the missionaries of Fontane, giving the festival a solidarity value that adds to its community aggregation role in the heart of Villorba.
Capitel Festival — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Capitel Festival, the 49th, takes place from April 17 to May 3, 2026 on Via Colombero in Fontane di Villorba. The festival opens its food stand in the evenings and, on holidays, also at lunch, with local specialties. Among the traditional events: the mass on April 25th at 4:30 PM, the 'misura della corda' on April 26th at 9:00 PM, tombola, and the final lottery draw on May 3rd at 9:00 PM. Proceeds support the missionaries of Fontane.
