A day in a winery on Garda Lake for the national Italian wine festival
Cantine Aperte is the national initiative of the Movimento Turismo del Vino which, on the last Sunday of May, opens Italian wineries to visitors. In Bardolino, in the province of Verona, the event is hosted by the historic winery Guerrieri Rizzardi, on Strada Campazzi, in the hills of the Veronese Garda.
The event offers a guided tour of the winery with a welcome glass — the Fior di Rosa, Chiaretto di Bardolino Classico DOC Spumante — and a special experience with a tasting of three DOC wines (Soave, Bardolino, Valpolicella) paired with local cured meats and cheeses. The wine shop remains open for purchases with a dedicated discount.
The philosophy of Cantine Aperte is to discover the territory through wine, without formality but with attention to quality and authenticity. Guerrieri Rizzardi also adheres to the Wine in Moderation program to promote responsible consumption.
The Guerrieri Rizzardi winery is participating in Cantine Aperte 2026 on Sunday, May 31, at its location on Strada Campazzi in Bardolino. Scheduled are guided tours with a welcome glass and a special tasting experience of the territory's DOC wines.
