The historic national competition for religious poetry
The Camposampiero Religious Poetry Prize is a biennial national competition that has been valuing poetry of religious and spiritual inspiration for many years. It is based in Camposampiero (Padua), a town deeply connected to the figure of Saint Anthony thanks to the famous Antonian Sanctuaries, the places of the Saint's last days.
A rich program of events develops around the award ceremony: photographic exhibitions, theatrical performances at the Ferrari Theatre, cultural dialogues with authors and scholars, and musical moments. The jury, of high literary standing, is chaired by the writer Antonia Arslan.
Promoted by the Lions Club Camposampiero with the patronage of the Municipality, the Antonian Sanctuaries, the Pro Loco, and UECI, the Prize represents an anticipated event for lovers of poetry and culture, capable of attracting poets, scholars, and enthusiasts from all over Italy to Camposampiero.
The XXVII edition of the Camposampiero Religious Poetry Prize is held in Camposampiero (Padua) from April 4 to 12, 2026, with a program that blends poetry, photography, theatre, and music, culminating in the award ceremony at the Auditorium of the Antonian Sanctuaries.
The events take place in the center of Camposampiero (PD), between the Antonian Sanctuaries, the Ferrari Theatre (Via Andrea Palladio 1), and the Philharmonic Hall. The town is served by the train station on the Padua-Castelfranco Veneto line.
Admission to events is generally free. Information: [email protected], tel. 049 9300255.
