Wine takes center stage at Villa Giglioli
Calici in Villa is the food and wine event that enlivens Ficarolo every spring, a municipality in the province of Rovigo overlooking the Po River, in Alto Polesine. The event takes place in the setting of the Park of Villa Giglioli, a historic residence that serves as the backdrop for a day entirely dedicated to wine and local flavors.
One hundred labels for tasting
The heart of the day is the tasting counter: about twenty-five wine producers with around one hundred labels to taste, from sparkling wines to full-bodied reds. With the purchase of a glass and a bag, you gain access to unlimited tastings. Alongside the wine, local producers' stands offer cheeses, honey, strawberries, and cured meats, while the street food area accompanies visitors throughout the day.
Not just tastings
Calici in Villa is also an opportunity to discover Villa Giglioli through guided tours, and to experience the park with entertainment for children, library activities, and an happy hour with a DJ set in the late afternoon. Organized by the Municipality of Ficarolo and the Pro Loco Ficarolo with the patronage of the Veneto Region, the event enhances the link between food and wine, river landscape, and historical heritage of Polesine.
Calici in Villa — edition 2026
The third edition of Calici in Villa is scheduled for Sunday, May 10, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, in the Park of Villa Giglioli in Ficarolo. Twenty-five wine producers offer about one hundred labels for tasting; with a glass and bag, you get unlimited tastings. The day is completed by stands of typical local products (cheeses, honey, strawberries, cured meats), the street food area, entertainment for children, and guided tours of Villa Giglioli. In case of bad weather, the event will be moved inside the villa.

- 10:00 AM–10:00 PM — Opening of tasting stands: 25 producers, 100 labels for unlimited tasting (with glass and bag)
- All day — Typical product stands: cheeses, honey, strawberries, cured meats; street food area
- 11:00 AM–4:00 PM and 6:00 PM (possible additional tour at 8:00 PM) — Guided tours of Villa Giglioli by Luciano Pigaiani of the Archaeological Group
- 3:00 PM–6:00 PM — Library activities
- Afternoon — Play area and entertainment for children
- 6:00 PM — Happy hour with DJ set Keynaldo

How to get there
Ficarolo is located in Alto Polesine, near the border with Emilia. By car from the SS6 and provincial roads from Rovigo or Ferrara. Parking near the park of Villa Giglioli.
Admission
Admission with glass and bag for tastings; free for under 18s. In case of bad weather, the event will be moved inside Villa Giglioli.
