Carnival in the heart of Brianza

The Brugherio Carnival is one of the most anticipated events of the winter in this town in the Province of Monza and Brianza, in Lombardy. Organized by Pro Loco Brugherio together with the Municipality, it is a popular and family-friendly event that brings masks, confetti, and traditional Carnival sweets to the streets.

The parade of floats

The highlight is the parade of masks and floats on Sunday: the meeting point is in Piazza Roma, from which the procession starts to cross the streets of the center — via Tre Re, via Dante, via Filzi, and other streets — before returning to the starting point. Amidst colors, music, and costumes, the parade involves young and old in a widespread celebration.

The Grand Party at the San Giuseppe Theatre

On Shrove Tuesday, the festivities move to the San Giuseppe Theatre, where the Grand Carnival Party takes place with the "Crazy Show", a circus arts show without animals designed for families. A spectacular finale that cheerfully closes the carnival season.

A celebration for the whole community

Between dinners in the parish hall, costume kits, and shows, the Brugherio Carnival is a celebration born from the involvement of the local area. The collaboration between Pro Loco, the Municipality, and parishes makes it an accessible and participatory event, capable of bringing the Brianza community together in the name of tradition.
