The Verona Broccoli Festival
The Broccoli Festival of Novaglie is a traditional festival dedicated to the broccoli, a typical product of the hamlet of Novaglie, in the hills southeast of Verona. Founded in the 1930s, it is one of the oldest and most beloved festivals in the Verona area, deeply linked to the region's peasant culture.
Food Stalls and Live Music
The heart of the event are the food stalls, where you can taste traditional Veronese dishes and broccoli-based specialties. Every evening, the festival is accompanied by live music, with cover bands and DJ sets that liven up the village until late, in a atmosphere of joy and conviviality.
Walks, Games, and Shows
In addition to the food, the program includes morning walks in the countryside through the hills of Valpantena, games for adults and children, bike trial exhibitions, and entertainment for all ages. The festival is also an opportunity to rediscover the paths and places of the hamlet, such as the hermitage of San Fidenzio.
A Novaglie Tradition
Organized by the Pro Loco of Novaglie with the involvement of the local community, the Broccoli Festival is an event of identity for the hamlet and for Verona: a spring festival that, for almost a century, has celebrated the flavors and traditions of the Veronese countryside.
Broccoli Festival — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Broccoli Festival of Novaglie, the 90th, took place from March 27 to 29, 2026, celebrating its ninetieth anniversary. In the hilly hamlet southeast of Verona, food stalls, live music, walks, and shows enlivened the weekend.
Among the anniversary novelties, the food stalls were also open for lunch on Saturday. The program combined concerts by cover bands, DJ sets, country walks, bike trial exhibitions, and family activities.

How to get there
Novaglie is a hilly hamlet southeast of Verona, reachable by car in about 15 minutes from the center. During the festival, a shuttle service will be available from Via Strada della Giara.

From March 27 to 29, 2026. Food stalls open on Friday from 6:30 PM and on Saturday also for lunch.
