The night of lovers by candlelight in the medieval village
Brisighella Romantica is the local version of the Romantic Night in the Most Beautiful Villages of Italy, the national event promoted by the association I Borghi piรน Belli d'Italia (The Most Beautiful Villages of Italy) which every year, around the summer solstice, lights up dozens of small historic centers with events dedicated to lovers. In Brisighella, a medieval jewel in the Province of Ravenna, in Emilia-Romagna, the evening transforms into a true white night dedicated to romance.
The charm of the event stems from the unique setting of the village. Brisighella is famous for its three rocky pinnacles that dominate the town, crowned by the Rocca Manfrediana, the Clock Tower, and the Sanctuary of Monticino. The heart of the festival beats along the Via degli Asini, the ancient elevated covered street that runs hidden within the houses of the center: a place suspended in time which, lit by candles, becomes one of the most evocative settings in Italy for an evening for two.
The historic center changes its appearance to offer visitors an experience made of art, music, and magic. Among the alleys and small squares, you will find:
The intimate and cozy atmosphere invites couples to get lost in the most hidden corners of the historic center, while shows and concerts liven up the night until late, with entertainment moments in the setting of the Spada park amphitheater.
Brisighella is not just its romantic night: the village, certified among the Most Beautiful Villages of Italy and awarded the Orange Flag by the Touring Club, thrives on traditions linked to the gypsum of the Vena del Gesso Romagnola, its DOP extra virgin olive oil, and the typical products of Romagna. The romantic evening is the perfect opportunity to discover a municipality in the hinterland of Ravenna often far from mass tourism.
For the 2026 edition, scheduled for Saturday, June 20, the entire village of Brisighella transforms to offer visitors an evening of art, music, and magic. The route winds along the Via degli Asini and the most evocative corners of the historic center, where restaurants set up candlelit outdoor dinners with special menus. The atmosphere is enhanced by street artists, themed decorations, and acoustic concerts, with show moments in the setting of the Spada park amphitheater. Among the announced guests for this edition is Maria Pia Timo. The evening is part of the national Romantic Night of the Most Beautiful Villages of Italy.
The detailed schedule is published by the Pro Loco of Brisighella closer to the event. Reservations are recommended for dinners.
