Borgolio 2025: the first edition

On November 29 and 30, 2025, San Mauro Castelverde hosted the first edition of Borgolio – Madonie Olive Oil Festival. On Saturday the 29th, the opening of the stands on Corso Umberto I was followed by the inauguration of the Madonie Olive Oil Bank in the hypogea of the Ex Badia and the conference "Culture and Cultivation of Madonie Extra Virgin Olive Oil," featuring supply chain experts, consortia, and Slow Food; in the evening, a cabaret show was held at the Municipal Theater.

On Sunday the 30th, the program continued with an EVOO masterclass, the roaming musical performance "I cugini della Serenata" through the village alleys, and, in the afternoon, a show cooking session with chef Angelo Daino and mixologist Mario Scialabba. Throughout the two days, guided tastings, samplings of local products, and cultural itineraries organized by the Pro Loco celebrated the Crastu cultivar and the olive growing of the Madonie, in the province of Palermo.
