A Dive into the Middle Ages in Borbiago
Borbiago Historica is the medieval festival that enlivens Borbiago, a hamlet of the Municipality of Mira, in the province of Venice, on the picturesque Riviera del Brenta. Organized by the Associazione Al Capiteo di Borbiago APS, the event will reach its 4th edition in 2026 and transforms the village into a historical encampment for a day.
What to Experience
Along the streets and squares of the village, a historical market comes to life, with stalls of artisans at work, demonstrations of falconry and archery, knightly investitures, and theatrical moments. There are also creative workshops – from wood carving to choral singing and guitar playing – and carousels for the little ones, making the festival suitable for the whole family.
A Community Festival
Borbiago Historica is above all a grassroots festival, born from the community of Borbiago and the activities of the association, which throughout the year carries out a program of artistic and creative workshops. Admission is free, and the event is designed to promote the local history and traditions of the Riviera del Brenta.
