About Book Pride

Book Pride is the national fair for independent publishing, the event that every spring brings hundreds of independent publishers and thousands of readers to Milan. Three days of meetings with Italian and international authors, panels, readings, and presentations, hosted in the spaces of Superstudio Maxi. The 2026 edition celebrates the fair's tenth anniversary with the theme "Hope is the thing with feathers", from the famous verse by Emily Dickinson. A festival that defends bibliodiversity and gives voice to a rich, curious, and unconventional publishing scene.

Independent Publishing in Milan

Book Pride is the national fair for independent publishing, created to give visibility and voice to publishing houses that prioritize quality and research. The main edition is held in Milan, Lombardy, in the spaces of Superstudio Maxi on Via Moncucco, in the south of the city.

The theme of the tenth anniversary

The 2026 edition, the tenth, has the theme "Hope is the thing with feathers", from the famous verse by the American poet Emily Dickinson. A common thread that runs through the meetings and reflections of an event that has always combined literature and civil engagement.

A rich program

The schedule includes meetings with authors, both international and Italian, panels on fiction, poetry, journalism, feminism, sustainability, and publishing innovation. Among the new features are sections dedicated to women writers and poetry cycles. Hundreds of independent publishers animate the stands, offering a unique opportunity to discover titles and voices far removed from the logic of major publishing groups.

Defending bibliodiversity

Book Pride is promoted within the Italian independent publishing world and has become a reference point for booksellers, publishers, and readers. Its mission is bibliodiversity: the conviction that a plurality of publishing voices is a cultural richness to be protected. For Milan, the Italian capital of publishing, it is an event of identity.
