The national fair for independent publishing
Book Pride is the national fair for independent publishing, created to give visibility and voice to publishing houses that prioritize quality and research. The main edition is held in Milan, Lombardy, in the spaces of Superstudio Maxi on Via Moncucco, in the south of the city.
The 2026 edition, the tenth, has the theme "Hope is the thing with feathers", from the famous verse by the American poet Emily Dickinson. A common thread that runs through the meetings and reflections of an event that has always combined literature and civil engagement.
The schedule includes meetings with authors, both international and Italian, panels on fiction, poetry, journalism, feminism, sustainability, and publishing innovation. Among the new features are sections dedicated to women writers and poetry cycles. Hundreds of independent publishers animate the stands, offering a unique opportunity to discover titles and voices far removed from the logic of major publishing groups.
Book Pride is promoted within the Italian independent publishing world and has become a reference point for booksellers, publishers, and readers. Its mission is bibliodiversity: the conviction that a plurality of publishing voices is a cultural richness to be protected. For Milan, the Italian capital of publishing, it is an event of identity.
The tenth edition of Book Pride celebrates the fair's tenth anniversary from March 20 to 22, 2026, in the spaces of Superstudio Maxi in Milan. The chosen theme is "Hope is the thing with feathers", from Emily Dickinson's verse.
The program brings together hundreds of independent publishers and a packed schedule of meetings with Italian and international authors, panels on fiction, poetry, journalism, feminism, sustainability, and publishing innovation, with new sections dedicated to women writers and poetry.
