Reggae, dub, and hip-hop in the heart of Ciociaria
The Bomboklat Festival is the musical event that has made the town of Pofi, in the province of Frosinone, a staple on the Italian reggae and dub calendar. Born from the passion of the Pofi Reggae Soldiers Crew social promotion association, the festival has built a loyal community over the years, reaching its ninth consecutive year in 2025 and establishing itself as one of the most solid fixtures in the Lazio independent scene.
The headquarters is the Giacinto Ricci Municipal Stadium, a large open-air space at the foot of the village, capable of hosting the main stage, sound systems, food areas, and markets without ever losing the family-friendly atmosphere that has defined the event since the beginning.
The artistic direction of Bomboklat has never been limited to a single genre. Alongside roots reggae and dub, which remain the beating heart of the festival, there is space for dancehall, rap, Italian hip-hop, bass music, and contemporary electronic influences. Over the years, Pofi has hosted top-tier international and national names, from historic British sound systems to the most renowned Italian bands in the genre.
A significant portion of the programming is reserved for emerging artists and local collectives: local selectors, Ciociaria-based crews, and self-produced projects share the stage with headliners, in a spirit of exchange that has always been one of the event's hallmarks.
Those who come to Pofi find much more than just a concert series. The festival days include:
Bomboklat has always claimed a dimension that goes beyond mere entertainment. The theme of resistance and freedom runs through the programming, so much so that in recent years, organizers have added a day dedicated to April 25th (Liberation Day) to the summer schedule, hosted at the Municipal Tent in Via San Giorgio, featuring sound systems, a market, a photo exhibition, and a special opening of the Pietro Fedele Prehistoric Museum.
There is also a stated goal of promoting the local area: bringing audiences from all over Italy to Pofi means introducing them to a Ciociaria village often off the beaten tourist path, surrounded by hills, archaeological sites, and genuine culinary traditions.
For reggae and dub enthusiasts, Bomboklat is now an unmissable event in the Lazio summer, with a price-to-quality ratio that is hard to beat: most evenings offer free entry, and tickets for dates with international headliners remain affordable. Even those unfamiliar with the genre will find a relaxed, well-curated, and welcoming environment where music is, above all, a pretext to come together under the summer sky of the Frosinone province.
From July 3rd to 5th, 2026, the Giacinto Ricci Municipal Stadium in Pofi hosted three days of music described by the organizers as «three days where time slows down and music becomes a universal language». The lineup alternated between major international reggae names, historic protagonists of Italian rap, and local scene selectors.
As per tradition, alongside the stage were the food & drink area, the street market with vinyl, clothing, and crafts, activities for children, and the camper area reserved for those arriving from outside the region.
From 12:30 PM to 1:00 AM, free entry, a day dedicated to Liberation Day with the sound system Blue Zone Hi-Fi, Strada back to back Her Nice Too, BMBKT, Equinoxxx, and Freddye, featuring roots, dub, and bass music. Also on the program is the second edition of the «I & I» photo exhibition curated by Equinoxxx, with twenty shots by international photographers, the food area open for lunch and dinner, the vinyl and craft market, and the special opening of the «Pietro Fedele» Prehistoric Museum.
Gates open at 8:00 PM on all three evenings.

Summer evenings take place at the Giacinto Ricci Municipal Stadium in Pofi, with gates generally opening at 8:00 PM. The April 25th event is held at the Municipal Tent on Via San Giorgio, which is covered and therefore guaranteed even in case of rain.
