The concert season at Teatro Garibaldi with the Orchestra della Magna Grecia
Bisceglie in Musica is the concert season that lights up the stage of the Teatro Garibaldi in Bisceglie, an elegant historic venue overlooking the Adriatic Sea. The festival is the result of a partnership between the ICO Orchestra of the Magna Grecia and the Municipality of Bisceglie, confirming the cultural growth of this town in the province of Barletta-Andria-Trani, Puglia.
The program runs from February to May, featuring a series of events that weave together classical music, singer-songwriter performances, opera, and contemporary influences. The ICO Orchestra of the Magna Grecia, one of the most active concert-orchestral institutions in Southern Italy, accompanies renowned soloists and performers on stage, exploring a wide range of repertoires and artistic sensibilities.
The evenings take place at Teatro Garibaldi, a historic city venue that has returned to being a landmark for local musical life. The season's format, offering both single tickets and subscriptions, brings the public closer to symphonic and chamber music in an intimate and refined setting, where live listening becomes an immersive experience.
A city of ancient origins, Bisceglie combines a white-stone historic center, a picturesque harbor, and a coastline beloved by visitors. The Bisceglie in Musica festival is part of an increasingly rich cultural calendar, offering residents and tourists a chance to experience Puglia even out of season, through the quality of live music and the charm of one of the area's most evocative theaters.
The 2026 season opened on Saturday, February 14, with Raphael Gualazzi on piano and vocals, accompanied by the ICO Orchestra of the Magna Grecia conducted by Stefano Nanni, in a concert blending jazz, soul, pop, and the Italian tradition. The program continued with six main events until May 28, all held at the Teatro Garibaldi starting at 9:00 PM.
Highlights included the dialogue between zarzuela and opera (February 20), the Chopin Concert with pianist Giuseppe Greco (March 5), the music and dance show LiberTango dedicated to Astor Piazzolla (March 18), the concert with Alex Wyse conducted by Piero Romano (April 23), and the grand finale Sotto il Cielo di Modugno with Mario Incudine (May 28), a tribute to the great Apulian singer-songwriter.
