Biassa returns to the Middle Ages

Clinging to the hills overlooking La Spezia, in Liguria, the village of Biassa holds an ancient charm, made of stone alleys and glimpses of the Gulf of Poets. Every November, on the occasion of the Feast of San Martino, the village relives its past with Biassa nel Medioevo, a historical re-enactment that transforms the town into a village of yesteryear.

Between re-enactments and tradition

For the day of the festival, the streets of Biassa come alive with costumed figures, re-enactments, craft markets and food stalls with traditional dishes. The medieval atmosphere recreated among the stone houses of the village offers visitors an immersive experience, suspended between history and imagination.

The event, organized by Pro Loco Insieme per Biassa, has obtained the EPLI quality mark and is recognized as an Authentic Ligurian Event. Recognitions that testify to the value of the festival and the community's commitment to keeping it alive and well-maintained.
