The great motorcycle rally of Val Nure, in the heart of the Piacenza Apennines
Born in 2016 from an idea shared among friends in the village bars, Bettola in Moto has grown to become a nationally significant motorcycle rally. Every year, in late spring, the village of Bettola, in Val Nure in the Province of Piacenza (Emilia-Romagna), fills with the roar of engines, the smell of gasoline, and the lively atmosphere that only a major two-wheel event can create.
The heart of the event is Via Martiri della Resistenza, along the banks of the Nure river: here, motorcycles of all types and displacements gather, from naked bikes to customs, from vintage bikes to meticulously crafted specials. The event welcomes numerous motorcycle clubs from all over Northern Italy and, in recent editions, has attracted thousands of participants who have flocked to the town from the early morning hours.
Bettola in Moto is not just an appointment for bikers: it's a true popular festival, free and open to everyone, even those who don't own a motorcycle but want to enjoy a day of fun. Alongside the motorcycle exhibitions, there are numerous food and wine stands featuring Piacenza's local specialties, areas dedicated to music, and entertainment for the whole family.
Among the most anticipated offerings is the optional motorcycle tour, which starts around 11:00 AM and offers a renewed route each year through the hills and scenic roads of the valley. For those arriving from afar, there is also a free camping area, equipped with services and showers, allowing participants to enjoy the rally over several days.
Bettola is considered the "gateway" to Val Nure, at the point where the valley narrows and the landscape transitions from hills to the Apennine mountains. The village is linked to the legend of Christopher Columbus, who, according to local tradition, was born in the hamlet of Pradello: in the square, next to the church, stands a monument dedicated to the navigator. Visiting Bettola during the rally is also an opportunity to discover a territory rich in history, nature, and good food, just a few kilometers from Piacenza.
For its tenth anniversary, Bettola in Moto confirmed its two-day format, Saturday, May 23rd and Sunday, May 24th, 2026, animating Via Martiri della Resistenza with exhibitions of motorcycles of all types and displacements. On Sunday morning, around 11:00 AM, the usual optional motorcycle tour departed, featuring a renewed route enriched by an aperitif along the way.
In this edition too, the event welcomed numerous motorcycle clubs from all over Northern Italy, with a large food & beverage area and a free camping area equipped with services and showers. The event, free and open to all, reaffirmed Bettola as one of the main motorcycle events of the Piacenza spring.
In case of bad weather, the event was scheduled to be held on Sunday, June 7th.
The rally takes place on Via Martiri della Resistenza, in Bettola (PC), along the banks of the Nure river. Approximate hours are from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. In case of bad weather, the event may be postponed to a recovery date communicated by the organizers.
Bettola can be reached from Piacenza by taking the Strada Statale 654 della Val Nure southwards, in about 35-40 minutes by car or motorcycle. The town is just over 30 km from the provincial capital.
Admission to the event is free and open to everyone, even those who do not own a motorcycle. A free camping area with restrooms and showers is available for those who wish to stay overnight. Participation in the motorcycle tour is optional.
