About Bergamo Historic Gran Prix

One day a year, the Venetian walls of Bergamo Città Alta vibrate again to the roar of vintage engines. The Bergamo Historic Gran Prix brings historic cars and motorcycles back to the Circuito delle Mura, the city circuit that Tazio Nuvolari called 'sublime'. Among pre-war cars, single-seaters, grand tourers, and vintage motorcycles, with afternoon races and 'old style' Le Mans starts, the event combines automotive passion, history, and a strong charitable purpose, in one of Italy's most beautiful urban settings.

Vintage engines return to the Walls

The Bergamo Historic Gran Prix is the vintage motoring event that transforms the Città Alta of Bergamo into a historic circuit every year. The races take place on the Circuito delle Mura, a city circuit of approximately 2,980 meters that runs along the Venetian walls, a UNESCO heritage site, which Tazio Nuvolari himself called 'sublime'.

The featured vehicles

Historic cars and motorcycles compete, divided into categories: pre-war cars and single-seaters (Anteguerra/GP), grand tourers and sports cars (GTS/Sport), as well as vintage motorcycles. The 'old style' Le Mans starts add spectacle to the wheel-to-wheel competitions.

A day of celebration

In the morning, the vehicles are displayed to the public in the Colle Aperto area, while the afternoon races take place. Each edition celebrates anniversaries and figures from motorsport history, with tributes to drivers and brands that have marked the 20th century.

Sport and solidarity in Bergamo

In addition to the sporting spectacle, the Bergamo Historic Gran Prix has a clear charitable purpose: the proceeds support local social projects, such as those of Spazio Autismo Bergamo. An event that combines passion, history, and civic engagement, in the heart of the province of Bergamo.
