Three nights of beer, food, and live music on Via Pietrasanta
Beer Fest is the signature beer festival of Pontelandolfo, a municipality in the upper Sannio area of the province of Benevento, in Campania. The event was revived in 2025 by the Pontelandolfo Youth Forum after a six-year absence, restoring one of the town's most anticipated summer traditions and drawing a crowd from well beyond the local community to Via Pietrasanta.
The formula is refreshingly simple, as the organizers emphasize: well-being, lightheartedness, and fun. This is not an event exclusively for beer connoisseurs, but a contemporary village festival where a pint is the perfect excuse to gather under the streetlights, grab a bite to eat with friends, and dance until late.
Everything takes place outdoors at Via Pietrasanta 4, just a stone's throw from the town center. The area is equipped with beer taps, food stalls, communal tables, and a concert stageโa compact layout that keeps music, food, and conversation together without the need for long walks. It is a quintessentially Italian approach: a festival that takes over the street and transforms it into a vibrant town square for a few nights.
The musical program is the main draw. For the 2026 edition, the lineup focused on tribute bands, a formula that always works well for summer festivals in the Sannio region: a recognizable repertoire that everyone can sing along to, bringing different generations together in front of the stage. Each night concludes with DJ sets for those who want to keep dancing after the concert.
For the second edition, the beer selection was expanded with new and more refined products, while the food area grew in both size and variety, offering more stalls, more options, and shorter wait times during peak hours. The organizers also revamped the Sunday format, adding an aperitivo session that kicks off the evening earlier and extends the festivities.
Pontelandolfo is a hillside village in the province of Benevento that tells its story through its traditions and history, hosting a surprisingly dense calendar of summer events for its size. The mid-July Beer Fest effectively opens the season, followed by Borgolandolfo, a food and craft walk through the historic center, and the long Eco-Folkloristic Week between late July and mid-August, featuring international folklore and live music. In the spring, the town also hosts the unique Italian Cheese Throwing Championship.
Visitors from outside the region will find plenty of reasons to stay for more than one night: the beer festival is set in a landscape of rolling hills, agricultural treasures, and nearby towns easily reachable by car, where summer social life moves entirely outdoors.
Following the success of its 2025 revival, the Pontelandolfo Youth Forum brought back Beer Fest from July 17 to 19, 2026, once again on Via Pietrasanta 4, in the Sannio municipality in the province of Benevento. Three evenings dedicated to fun and conviviality, showing clear growth on all fronts compared to the first edition.
Beer took center stage with an expanded and more refined selection, while the food area became larger, richer, and more varied. The true organizational innovation concerned Sunday, July 19, which was revamped with an aperitivo session that preceded the start of the evening.
On stage, the lineup focused on tribute bands: Queen of Bulsara, a Queen tribute act active since 2006, opened on Friday, while Saturday was entrusted to VASCOver with their Vasco Rossi repertoire. Sunday combined live music and DJ sets, as on the other nights, with the party lasting until late at night.
Detailed schedules were not released by the organizers: the area opened in the evening, with concerts taking place during the central part of the night.
Via Pietrasanta 4, 82027 Pontelandolfo (BN), Campania. The festival area is outdoors, in the immediate vicinity of the town center.
A car is the most practical way to travel: Pontelandolfo is located about 40 km north of Benevento, in the upper Sannio region, and can be reached via the provincial roads connecting the Campolattaro and Morcone areas. Evening public transport is limited, so it is best to arrange your own transport and plan your designated driver in advance.
The organizers have not announced any entry fees: beer and food can be purchased at the stalls set up in the festival area. For updated information on prices and any potential pre-sales, check the social media channels of the Pontelandolfo Youth Forum.

The village has limited accommodation: those coming from afar can look for lodging in neighboring Sannio towns or the Telese Terme area, booking well in advance during the peak of summer.
