Baccanale

Baccanale 2025, the 40th edition of the event, was held in Imola from October 25 to November 16, 2025 with the theme "A World of Spices", a journey dedicated to spices as symbols of trade, discovery, rituals, and recipes that have united the world through food. To celebrate the fortieth anniversary, the program featured over one hundred events, including themed menus in restaurants, meetings, exhibitions, shows, tastings, workshops, and sensory experiences.

The inauguration took place at the Ebe Stignani Theater. Among the notable guests were food historian Massimo Montanari, with the conference "The Extraordinary Adventure of Spices", and a dialogue with Maddalena Fossati Dondero, director of La Cucina Italiana, on the UNESCO candidacy of Italian cuisine. Numerous exhibitions were held throughout the city—from Ale Giorgini's illustrated tables to the reconstruction of a 17th-century spice shop—set up in the municipal library, the State Archives, and squares in the historic center.
