Classical music excellence in the Sala Borremans of Palazzo Butera
In the heart of Bagheria, in the province of Palermo, the Baarìa Piano City festival confirms the city as a hub of excellence for classical music in Sicily. The event takes place in the evocative Sala Borremans of Palazzo Butera, a 17th-century noble residence that stands as one of Bagheria's architectural symbols, offering a series of concerts dedicated to the piano and chamber music.
Baarìa Piano City is part of the "Città di Bagheria" Concert Season, now in its mature editions, and is organized by the Bequadro Cultural Association with the support of Chorus Inside Sicilia and the patronage of the Municipality of Bagheria. The artistic direction is entrusted to Maestro Salvatore Di Blasi, who curates a program that alternates between solo piano recitals and chamber concerts for piano and strings.
Each edition brings together prominent pianists and soloists for a series of refined evenings, where the repertoire ranges from great classical and romantic works to chamber music pieces for violin, cello, and piano. The concerts are held in the intimate setting of the Sala Borremans, an environment that enhances close listening and the dialogue between instruments.
Performing at Palazzo Butera means bringing music to one of Bagheria's most beloved venues: the Sala Borremans, with its frescoes and proportions, provides an elegant and intimate atmosphere for the concerts. For the audience, it is an opportunity to rediscover the city's historical and artistic heritage alongside great music.
