The historic concert season of Ateneo Musica Basilicata at the Teatro Stabile in Potenza
For over three decades, Ateneo Musica Basilicata has been the benchmark for concert life in the capital of Basilicata. Its season, hosted in the splendid setting of the Teatro Francesco Stabile in Potenza — an 19th-century gem in the heart of the city — is one of the most anticipated and long-standing cultural events in the region, capable of bringing great Italian and international performers to Basilicata.
The strength of the season lies in the variety of its program: alongside the great repertoire of classical music, there is space for jazz, singer-songwriter music, musical theatre, tributes to great composers, and performances with narrators and actors. A formula that combines rigor and entertainment, bringing diverse audiences closer to live music. Collaboration with the Orchestra Sinfonica 131 della Basilicata is frequent, bringing the grand orchestral dimension to the stage of the Teatro Stabile.
Promoted by the Ateneo Musica Basilicata association, the concert season is a cultural hub that enhances the Teatro Stabile and enriches the capital's offerings throughout the winter and spring months. For visitors to Potenza, attending a concert in the season means experiencing the city in its most cultured and vibrant dimension, in one of the most beautiful theatres in Southern Italy.
The thirty-ninth edition of the concert season brings fifteen events to the Teatro Stabile in Potenza, spread from January to April 2026, with the artistic direction of Giovanna D'Amato and the presidency of Angela Binetti.
