The Ferragosto festival in Cartura
The Assunta Festival is the flagship summer event in Cartura, in the province of Padua, celebrating the Assumption Day on August 15th. For about ten days, the town centre transforms into a large festival space, filled with food, music, and entertainment.
Food and ballroom dancing
The heart of the festival is the food stand, complemented by evenings of ballroom dancing with the best orchestras, a deeply cherished tradition in the Veneto region. The evenings attract dance enthusiasts and food lovers from all over the Conselvano area.
Funfair, charity, and fireworks
The festival also features a funfair for the little ones, a charity raffle, tombola, and exhibitions, culminating in a grand fireworks display that lights up the Ferragosto sky. Organised by the Pro Loco of Cartura in collaboration with the Municipal Administration, the parish, and local associations, the Assunta Festival is one of the most anticipated events of the Paduan summer.
