In Caselle, a hamlet of Isola della Scala in the province of Verona, the Asparagus and Strawberry Festival marks the arrival of the good season. Between late April and early May, a spacious marquee with over 1,200-1,300 seats becomes the heart of a festival dedicated to two symbolic products of the local spring: Verona asparagus and strawberries.

The menu is a tribute to the land of the lower Verona area: asparagus risotto, the famous Isolana risotto, eggs and asparagus, pancetta, polenta brustolà, mixed grills, and strawberries presented in many sweet preparations. A seasonal, simple, and abundant cuisine that attracts visitors from neighboring towns.
A community festival
The event is organized by the Consorzio Asparago Verona together with the Caselle Committee, and it is one of the events that, during the harvest period, celebrate asparagus throughout the province of Verona, an identity vegetable of this corner of Veneto. An opportunity to discover the authentic flavors of the Isola countryside in a village festival atmosphere.

The 2026 edition of the Asparagus and Strawberry Festival enlivens the hamlet of Caselle, in Isola della Scala, from April 24 to May 3. This year, the festival takes place in an expanded marquee, with over 1,200-1,300 seats, to better accommodate visitors seeking typical spring dishes.

- Opening of the gastronomic stand in the marquee with over 1,200 seats
- Dishes based on Verona asparagus: asparagus risotto, eggs and asparagus, asparagus with pancetta
