Jazz between sea and stars

For over twenty years, Argojazz has been the event that brings great jazz to the Ionian coast of Basilicata. The festival takes place at the Porto degli Argonauti, in the Lido of Macchia di Marina di Pisticci, in the Province of Matera, where the amphitheatre, the beach, and the spaces of the tourist port become a natural stage for concerts and shows until late at night.

A festival that blends languages

Founded in 2003 by Felice Casucci and Marilinda Nettis, Argojazz combines jazz music with other artistic expressions such as poetry and dance, creating evocative evenings by the sea. Over the years, the programme has featured renowned artists from the national and international scene, with tributes to the great masters of jazz and tango, in an intimate and refined atmosphere.

On the sea of Metaponto

The setting is the Metaponto coast, between golden beaches and pine forests, one of the most beloved summer destinations in Ionian Basilicata. With its free admission and the formula of open-air concerts by the sea, Argojazz is a perfect opportunity to experience a Lucanian summer, combining the quality of great music with the beauty of the landscape and the charm of evenings under the stars.
