The project is set in Vigne Nuove, within the Municipio III Montesacro of the City of Rome, in the Lazio region, and is promoted by the Associazione Ponte Milvio.

The proposal was selected as part of the "Roma Creativa 365. Cultura tutto l'anno" public call, a tool through which the City of Rome, in collaboration with Zètema Progetto Cultura, supports cultural events spread across the municipal territory. This detail speaks volumes about the initiative's nature: it is not a spectacular event imposed from above, but a grassroots cultural hub built together with those who live in the neighborhood every day.

Why "Vicini di Casa" (Neighbors)

The subtitle is more than just a clever play on words. In Vigne Nuove, a residential district built in the 1970s along the Via delle Vigne Nuove axis, the Roman summer has always faced a lack of public spaces. Those who stay in the city look for places to gather without spending money or traveling far. A neighborhood arena answers exactly this need. The screen becomes a pretext, while the real program is social interaction: chairs filling up before sunset, neighbors recognizing each other, children playing on the sidelines, and whispered comments during the closing credits.
