The historic festival of Nogara

The Antica Sagra della Madonna del Carmelo is the most cherished event of the summer in Nogara, a municipality in the Bassa Veronese in the province of Verona. It is linked to the devotion to the Madonna del Carmelo (Our Lady of Mount Carmel), whose liturgical feast day falls on July 16th, and for generations it has been a meeting point for the entire community and surrounding towns.

Funfair, gastronomy, and widespread music

The sagra (festival) transforms the town into a large, free-entry celebration, spread across multiple areas. The funfair is set up in Via Sterzi, while food stalls liven up the courtyard of Palazzo Maggi, managed by the Congrega Corte Serraglio, and Villa Raimondi with the characteristic space 'Il Giardino delle Bionde' (The Blondes' Garden), where you can enjoy steaks, risottos, and specialties accompanied by draft beer and local wines. Every evening, live concerts and DJ sets entertain on the various stages around town.

Sport, exhibitions, and fireworks

In addition to gastronomy and music, the program includes art and photography exhibitions in the municipal library and at Villa Raimondi, sporting events such as fishing competitions and cycling races, and numerous activities for families. The event, organized by the Pro Loco of Nogara in collaboration with the Municipality, concludes with the traditional fireworks display, the grand finale of a week dedicated to taste, music, sport, and tradition.
