The Lucanian preview of the great literary festival in the city of Mantegna
On June 19, 2026, Irsina, a village in the province of Matera included among the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy, welcomes the Lucanian preview of 'Il Libro Possibile', a literary festival organized by the ARTES Cultural Association, now in its 25th edition. The evening, promoted by APT Basilicata in collaboration with the Municipality, takes place on the evocative parvis of the Co-Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, the monumental heart of the village.
The preview features meetings and dialogues with leading figures in Italian culture. Among the announced guests: Vladimir Luxuria, on themes of inclusion and civil rights; Tiziana Ferrario, Rai journalist, with her novel dedicated to Anna Kuliscioff; and the psychiatrist and essayist Paolo Crepet, with a reflection on the meaning of life. The evening will also be recorded for 'Fedora', the festival's podcast, and enjoys coverage from media partners such as SKY TG24, TGR Basilicata, and Telenorba.
The event strengthens the cultural link between Basilicata and Puglia and showcases, in a context of great artistic value, the model of a festival capable of uniting literature, current affairs, and territorial promotion. Irsina, home to the famous statue of Sant'Eufemia attributed to Andrea Mantegna in its Co-Cathedral, offers the event a setting of rare charm.
