Angera Città della Mongolfiera is the event that for three days transforms the Angera lakefront, on the Lombard shore of Lake Maggiore in the province of Varese, into a grand spectacle of aerostats. Between Piazza Garibaldi and Viale Repubblica, numerous hot air balloons take to the sky, with tethered flights open to the public, free dawn flights, and the most beloved attraction: the evening Night Glow, when the illuminated balloons light up to the rhythm of music.
Between UP, concerts, and solidarity
Among the stars is the Disney Pixar 'UP' themed hot air balloon, which inflates daily and lights up the Night Glow. The program alternates flights with a rich schedule of concerts, silent discos, DJ sets, activities for children, markets, and street food. The event has a strong solidarity focus: flight proceeds are donated to local associations. Also noteworthy is the presence of a wheelchair-accessible hot air balloon and the debut of pilots, making the event inclusive.
Angera and its Fortress
The setting is Angera, a village overlooking Lake Maggiore, dominated by the majestic Rocca Borromeo (Borromeo Fortress), which can be visited during the event. The organization is handled by the Idrovolo Association with the technical support of pilots from the English Balloon Club and the patronage of the Municipality of Angera. Shows and exhibition areas have free admission, while flights are paid and can be booked online.

Flights and admission
