Edition 2025 — Ancient Flavors

The 26th edition of the Ancient Flavors Festival took place from August 11 to 16, 2025, in Piazza Giovanni Paolo II, Gioia Sannitica. For six evenings, the Caserta village celebrated Matese cuisine with fresh pasta with porcini mushrooms, gnocchi with mutton sauce, porchetta, and grilled meats, accompanied by live music and performances.

The 2025 edition of the Ancient Flavors Festival, the twenty-sixth, confirmed the success of the most anticipated event in Gioia Sannitica. From August 11 to 16, Piazza Giovanni Paolo II, at the foot of the medieval castle, hosted the Pro Loco Gioiese stands every evening from 8:30 PM.

On the menu were traditional specialties: pappardelle, tagliatelle, scialatielli, and fusilli with porcini mushrooms, gnocchi with mutton sauce, tagliolini with beans and pork rinds, soffritto, tripe, stew, porchetta, and grilled meats, along with local cured meats, cheeses, and award-winning oil from the area. The evenings were enlivened by live music, performances, and entertainment for all ages.
