AMelpignano – Meridiano Salento is the summer festival that brings Melpignano to life, a small town in the province of Lecce famous for its square and the musical traditions of Grecìa Salentina. The stage: Piazza Antonio Avantaggiato

The heart of the festival is Piazza Antonio Avantaggiato, set up every summer as an open-air arena at the foot of the Palazzo Marchesale and the historic centre of Melpignano. It is here that prominent artists from the Italian scene, symphony orchestras, dance companies, and voices of civil theatre have performed over the years, in an intimate and scenic setting that has made this event one of the most anticipated of the Salento summer.

The hallmark of AMelpignano is variety: the same festival hosts singer-songwriter music, symphonic music, Salento folk, contemporary dance, narrative theatre, and meetings with writers and journalists.
