Music, culture, and well-being for the acceptance of diversity in Todi
The Amati Festival is a young but already highly anticipated event in the calendar of Todi, in the province of Perugia. Reaching its third edition in 2026, it was born from a precise idea: to use culture, music, and art to talk about a delicate and often silent issue, eating disorders, while at the same time promoting the acceptance of diversity as beauty and uniqueness.
The festival unfolds across some of the most evocative locations in the city: Giardini Oberdan, Piazza del Popolo, the Cloister of the Liceo, the Municipal Theatre, the Cloister of San Fortunato, and the Parco della Rocca. The program blends moments of reflection, theatrical performances, fashion shows, creative workshops, sports activities, and a grand musical celebration that lasts until dawn.
The core of the initiative is awareness: the proceeds support the association "Mi Fido di Te", which assists patients and families, in collaboration with the Centro Palazzo Francisci, a national reference point for eating disorders, and with ETAB La Consolazione. The Amati Festival is organized by the Vega Association and the Amati Festival Committee.
More than a review, the Amati Festival is a collective experience that combines fun and civic engagement in one of Umbria's most beautiful medieval towns. An opportunity to discover Todi in a different light, getting involved with music, dance, and words that invite us to see diversity as a richness.
The 2026 edition of the Amati Festival confirms the multidisciplinary formula that has led to its success: the city of Todi comes alive between Giardini Oberdan, Piazza del Popolo, the Municipal Theatre, the Cloister of the Liceo, and Parco della Rocca. The official poster is by the artist from Perugia, Massimiliano Donnari (MaMo). Among the events are talks on communicating eating disorders, the theatrical performance "Trasformazioni", the nocturnal "Amati Music Show", and the final fashion show "Intrecci".
Todi is reachable by car from the E45 (Todi exit) and the SS3bis. By train, Todi Ponte Rio station is connected to the historic center. Events take place in the historic center and at the Parco della Rocca.
Numerous events are free to enter; some initiatives involve fundraising to support partner associations.
