Cinema, art and music in the alleys of Termoli's Old Town
The Alta Marea Festival reaches its sixth edition in 2026 and confirms its formula: bringing cinema, art, and music to the alleys of Termoli's Old Town, in the Province of Campobasso. For three days, the streets, squares, and historic buildings of the old center become screening rooms, concert stages, and open-air exhibition spaces.
The festival is directed by Termoli-born director Antonio De Gregorio and features short films, feature films, concerts, and exhibitions, accompanied by meetings with actors, directors, and professionals from the audiovisual world. The idea is a multidisciplinary and popular event, capable of bringing the general public closer to auteur cinema in an informal and evocative context.
The 2026 edition was announced by the renowned Termoli-born painter Enzo Botteri, who created a horizon-themed artwork dedicated to the festival: a tribute to the colors, sunsets, and trabucchi (traditional fishing structures) that tell the story of the village's identity. It is a sign of how deeply the Alta Marea Festival is now rooted in the cultural life of Termoli and the Molise Region, in constant dialogue with the seaside landscape that hosts it.
The sixth edition of the Alta Marea Festival takes place in Termoli from July 23 to 25, 2026, in the Old Town. Directed by filmmaker Antonio De Gregorio, the festival distributes screenings of short films and features, concerts, and art exhibitions in the squares and historic buildings of the old center, with meetings dedicated to cinema protagonists. The edition was presented by Termoli-born painter Enzo Botteri with a dedicated artwork.
The detailed program, selection of works, and guests will be announced by the organization on the festival's official channels in the weeks prior. Program to be confirmed.
