The masked parade of the Larian village of Albese con Cassano
The Carnival Parade of Albese con Cassano, a municipality in the Larian Triangle in the province of Como, is the masked festival that enlivens the village during Carnival. Organised by the Pro Loco, it is an event eagerly awaited by children and families, who fill the village streets with colour and joy.
The meeting point is in front of the Church of San Pietro, from where the masked parade departs amidst confetti, costumes, and music. Afterwards, the celebration continues with a snack in the Oratory, a convivial moment that concludes the afternoon. In case of bad weather, the event will be moved to the Multipurpose Pavilion.
Simple and genuine, the Albese con Cassano Carnival Parade is the typical village Carnival: a community festival designed for children, which brings the joyful spirit of the season to the heart of a Larian village. For those visiting the Larian Triangle in winter, it is an opportunity to experience a simple and participatory popular tradition up close.
The 2026 edition takes place on Saturday, February 21st. The meeting is at 2:30 PM in front of the Church of San Pietro, from where the masked parade departs, followed by a snack in the Oratory.
