The Meteor Class in Chioggia
The Adriatic Meteor Championship is one of the flagship events for the Meteor class, one of the most widespread and beloved keelboats in Italian sailing. It takes place in the waters of Chioggia, a lagoon city in the province of Venice, and brings together crews of the class from all over the Upper Adriatic.
A Calendar Event
The regatta is organized by the Circolo Nautico Chioggia together with Il Portodimare and also serves as the Meteor zonal championship. It is part of Chioggia's busy 2026 sailing calendar, which from early February to November offers over forty events including offshore, lagoon, and open-sea races, involving classes such as ORC, OPEN, Meteor, ILCA, and Optimist.

The 2026 edition of the Adriatic Meteor Championship is scheduled for June 20-21 in the waters of Chioggia (VE). The regatta, organized by the Circolo Nautico Chioggia together with Il Portodimare, also counts as a Meteor zonal championship and is part of the city's rich 2026 sailing calendar, which features over forty events throughout the year.
