Acqua e Sale Festival and Sailor's Feast

On August 5, 2025, Località Chianca, along Via San Francesco d'Assisi in Gagliano del Capo, hosted a new edition of the Acqua e Sale Festival and Sailor's Feast. In the heart of the Salento summer, the marina came alive in the evening with outdoor tables and the aroma of traditional dishes.

The heart of the festival, as the name suggests, was the acqua e sale: soaked frisella, tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, and oregano, the essential taste of Salento's 'cucina povera'. Accompanying the festival were the flavors linked to the sea of the Sailor's Feast, moments of music, and the conviviality typical of the folk festivals of Capo di Leuca, which every year attract residents and tourists vacationing on the coast.

Outdoor gastronomic evening in Località Chianca starting in the evening, with stalls dedicated to 'acqua e sale', frisella, and traditional Salento seafood specialties, accompanied by music and entertainment in the seaside village.
