The handmade fair
Abilmente is the fair of creativity and handmade organised by Italian Exhibition Group at the Fiera di Vicenza, in Veneto. With the slogan Where Creative Ideas Are Born, the event is the Italian benchmark for the world of DIY and creative hobbies, capable of attracting thousands of enthusiasts at each edition.
Materials, techniques and inspiration
In the fair's pavilions, hundreds of exhibitors present the entire universe of handmade crafts: sewing and patchwork, yarns and threads for knitting and crochet, embroidery, beads and jewellery, paper crafts, decoupage, and home decoration. Alongside the stalls, themed areas come to life, such as Ideas Avenue, the Quilt Lab, and sections dedicated to yarns, as well as textile installations and collective creative projects.
Courses and workshops for everyone
The heart of Abilmente are the practical courses and workshops: hundreds of sessions for all levels, from beginners to experts, where you can learn new techniques guided by teachers and makers. The autumn version in Vicenza complements the spring one, making the Veneto city the capital of manual creativity twice a year, within a national circuit that also includes Rome, Milan, and Turin.

The 2026 autumn edition of Abilmente takes place at the Fiera di Vicenza from October 15th to 18th, 2026, under the slogan Where Creative Ideas Are Born. Over 600 exhibitors present materials and techniques for sewing, knitting and crochet, embroidery, paper crafts, beads, and home decoration, while hundreds of courses and workshops accompany visitors of all levels. Among the themed areas are Ideas Avenue, the Quilt Lab, and sections dedicated to yarns, along with textile installations and collective creative projects.
