The Abbazia Festival is the summer cultural series of Abbadia San Salvatore, a town in the Province of Siena perched on the slopes of Monte Amiata, in Tuscany. The festival was born and continues to grow around an extraordinary site: the Abbey of San Salvatore, one of the oldest and most significant Benedictine monasteries in the region, with roots dating back to the Early Middle Ages. For several weeks, from the height of summer until the end of August, the Abbey Cloister becomes a natural stage where culture, music, and spirituality converge.

The event, organized by the Compagnia San Marco Papa Association under the patronage of the Municipality of Abbadia San Salvatore, offers a program revolving around three main pillars:

• Conferences and talks dedicated to the history of the Abbey, the Middle Ages, and the themes of travel and spirituality, featuring scholars and speakers invited to engage in dialogue within the cloister.
• Chamber music concerts, which take advantage of the acoustics and intimate atmosphere of the monastic spaces for evenings of great intensity.
• Guided tours of the Abbey, the crypt, and the Museum of Sacred Art, to discover the artistic and religious heritage of the complex.
