Six evenings of great international track cycling at the Attilio Pavesi Velodrome in Fiorenzuola d'Arda
The 6 Days of White Roses, officially the International Grand Prizes of Fiorenzuola, has been the most anticipated summer event for track cycling enthusiasts for almost thirty years. It takes place at the Attilio Pavesi Velodrome in Fiorenzuola d'Arda, in the province of Piacenza, along the concrete track that has been considered one of the temples of the discipline in Italy for generations. For six consecutive evenings, the track lights up under the spotlights, offering a succession of spectacular races that attract a large and enthusiastic crowd.
The 6 Days of White Roses is not just a local race: it's a showcase that attracts athletes from all over the world. The events are part of the UCI International Class 1 Grand Prizes and award valuable points for World Championship qualifications and Olympic selection. For this reason, the Fiorenzuola velodrome becomes, in July, a crossroads for cyclists from dozens of nations, including emerging talents and world circuit protagonists.
The program is a true compendium of track cycling races. It ranges from endurance events to new sprint disciplines:
Races are held with gender equality, for both men and women, in the Elite and Under 23 categories. Ample space is also dedicated to young talent: Juniors, Cadets, and Youth riders compete, along with handbike races that give the event a strong inclusive value.
Inaugurated in 1929 and nearing its centenary, the velodrome is named after Attilio Pavesi, Olympic road cycling champion at the 1932 Los Angeles Games. Inside the facility, the Museum dedicated to Pavesi tells the story of the track and its protagonists. The event, founded in 1998 on the initiative of Claudio Santi, is organized by the Fiorenzuola Track association with the support of the Municipality of Fiorenzuola d'Arda and represents one of the sporting highlights of Emilia-Romagna.
One of the most appreciated features of the 6 Days of White Roses is its accessibility: admission is free for all evenings. Families, fans, and curious visitors can experience the thrill of the races up close in a popular and convivial atmosphere, discovering a spectacular discipline that is still little known to the general public.
The 29th edition of the International Grand Prizes of Fiorenzuola – 6 Days of White Roses returns from July 20th to 25th, 2026 at the Attilio Pavesi Velodrome. The big news of the year is the expansion of the program: sprint races are added to the endurance events, bringing the number of UCI Class 1 International Grand Prizes to 22 spread over the six evenings. The event was officially presented on Saturday, April 18th, 2026, at the velodrome, with a visit to the Attilio Pavesi Museum.
The 2026 edition features 22 UCI Class 1 International Grand Prizes over six evenings. For the first time, alongside the historic endurance events, sprint disciplines return:
Among the novelties of the edition are the youth challenge dedicated to Benvenuto Corradi "Pacio", a historic volunteer of the event, and the "Alphabici" project for the Cadet category.
