The 2025 edition
On the first weekend of August 2025, the village of Sonnino, in the province of Latina, hosted the eleventh edition of the festival dedicated to the zazzicchia, the local artisanal sausage recognized by FederCarni as one of Italy's best recipes. From 8:00 PM to midnight, visitors walked through the historic center between refreshment points featuring sandwiches, bread and sausage soup, recipes with artichokes and guanciale, and other Monti Lepini specialties.
The program combined gastronomy and culture: live music, folk groups, street performers, historical re-enactments of the brigandage period, and the extraordinary opening of the Museum of Borderlands. The edition coincided with the celebrations for the 25th anniversary of the coronation of Maria SS. delle Grazie, making the festival even more heartfelt for the Sonnino community.
