The Bachata Lady Style Congress in Rome

Founded in 2022, Wild Divas is known as "The Original Bachata Lady Style Congress," the first international event built entirely around Bachata Lady Style, a discipline that enhances the style, femininity, and expressiveness of the dancer within bachata. Every year in January, the congress turns Rome into a meeting point for hundreds of enthusiasts arriving from across Italy and Europe to refine their skills, perform, and dance together.

What is Lady Style?

Lady Style is the aspect of bachata that focuses on body movement, undulations, arm styling, footwork, and the dancer's musical interpretation, independent of the partner. Wild Divas makes this the absolute heart of its program: here, the woman dancing is the protagonist, with a curriculum designed to help her grow technically and feel more confident and self-aware.

Three days of workshops, shows, and social dancing

The congress format is intense and recognizable: approximately 30 hours of workshops spread over three days, with classes held in parallel by national and international instructors and performers. Alongside the training, the day continues with:

• Shows by guest artists and couples;
• Evening parties and socials that go on until late at night, animated by international DJs;
• A parallel Men Style section dedicated to male dancers, so that leaders can also work on their own style.

It is a total experience where technical training blends with the social dimension and the party atmosphere, an element that has made the format popular in the European bachata world.

The Venue: Hotel Roma Aurelia Antica

Recent editions have taken place at the Hotel Roma Aurelia Antica, a four-star property at Via Aldobrandeschi 223, in the Aurelio district, in the western part of Rome. The "all-in-one" hotel formula allows for workshops, performance spaces, dance floors, and accommodation to be concentrated in a single location, making the congress especially convenient for those arriving from out of town.

An event designed for women

What distinguishes Wild Divas from other bachata festivals is its explicitly feminine identity: it was born as a space where dancers can study, exchange ideas, and challenge themselves in an environment of complicity and sisterhood. The goal is not just to improve technique, but to experience three days of shared energy that strengthen the confidence and awareness of every participant.

Rome and Lazio, the capital of bachata in January

With Wild Divas, the capital of Lazio confirms itself as one of the most vibrant Italian hubs for Latin dance. In January, a period traditionally lacking in large outdoor events, the congress brings an international community to Rome and enlivens the city's bachata scene, offering foreign visitors the chance to discover the Eternal City outside the peak tourist season.
