A widespread cultural laboratory that ignites theatre, books, music, and art in the village of Ferrazzano for over a month
The Week of Culture in Ferrazzano (province of Campobasso) is a "widespread cultural laboratory" which, despite its name, unfolds over more than a month of events. Theatre, literature, visual arts, music, and cinema intertwine in a dense and curated calendar, capable of engaging residents and visitors in a village that makes culture a distinctive feature.
The events take place in the symbolic locations of the village: the Teatro del Loto, a reference point for the Molise theatre scene, Palazzo Chiarulli, the Church of Santa Maria Assunta, and the Piccolo Teatro. Each venue hosts a different genre, transforming the entire historic centre into a cultural pathway.
The festival alternates theatrical performances, illustration and comic exhibitions, book fairs with reading workshops, lesson-concerts dedicated to liturgical music, puppet workshops for the little ones, and auteur film screenings. A mosaic of proposals that makes Ferrazzano a cultural reference point for Molise.
Between April 17 and May 23, 2026, Ferrazzano hosts a month and a half of widespread culture. It starts with theatre at the Teatro del Loto and continues with the "Crepe Fiorite" illustration exhibition, the book fair, liturgical music in the Church of Santa Maria Assunta, puppet workshops, and a film screening, culminating in a final puppet show.
Ferrazzano is a few kilometres from Campobasso, reachable by car in about 15 minutes. The village is also well connected to the provincial capital by local public transport.
Events are spread between mid-April and the end of May.
Most events are free admission; booking may be recommended for shows and screenings.
