The world's largest race comes to Treviso
Vivicittà is one of the longest-running and most popular running events in Italy, promoted by UISP - Italian Union Sport For All. Its formula is unique: on a single spring day, dozens of cities in Italy and abroad run simultaneously, creating a single compensated national ranking, calculated taking into account the different altitude profiles of the courses.
Treviso also participates in Vivicittà, bringing the event's dual nature to the streets of the historic center: on one hand, the competitive 10-kilometer race, and on the other, the fun runs of a few kilometers, open to everyone, from families to school groups. It's a way to experience sport as a moment of collective celebration and reclaiming public spaces.
Beyond the competitive aspect, Vivicittà has always championed social values: inclusion, accessibility, peace, and the regeneration of urban spaces through sport. The simultaneous start in all cities, announced live on national radio, makes each edition a major shared event that unites thousands of participants under the same ideal, even in the heart of the Treviso region.
The 2026 edition of Vivicittà is scheduled for Sunday, April 12, with a simultaneous start at 9:30 AM in all participating cities, and the signal given live by Rai Radio 1. The UISP event has a total of 65 appointments, with 23 competitive 10 km races and 42 fun runs.
In Treviso, as in other cities, the day offers the competitive race on the 10-kilometer course and short walks of a few kilometers, open to families and schools. The 2026 slogan, 'Triple Jump: Include, Regenerate, Innovate,' summarizes the event's values: sport as an accessible right, the regeneration of public spaces, and innovation in forms of participation.
Edition theme: 'Triple Jump: Include, Regenerate, Innovate'. Details of the Treviso city route and registration methods will be published by the local UISP committee closer to the event.
The historic center of Treviso is reachable on foot from Treviso Centrale station and by car from the A27 motorway.
Registration is done through the local UISP committee and official Vivicittà channels. The fun run is open to everyone; the competitive 10 km race is reserved for registered members with a medical certificate.
