About VIVAT Festival
A festival that chooses to be there
The VIVAT Festival was born in the village of Civitanova Alta, the historic hilltop nucleus of the Municipality of Civitanova Marche, in the Province of Macerata, in the Marche region. With the subtitle "Choosing to be there", the event is a day dedicated to the value of giving, the strength of volunteering, and the role of young people, built around the themes of solidarity, community, well-being, and the roots of the territory.
Who organizes it
The initiative is promoted by the Società Operaia G. Garibaldi di Civitanova Alta APS, a historic association of the village, in collaboration with a vast network of local associations: among these Avis Civitanova Marche, Croce Verde Civitanova Marche, Croce Rossa di Porto Potenza Picena, Sacrata Pallavolo, Mega Comics, Archeoclub, the Centro Studi Civitanovesi and other bodies, with the support of CSV Marche ETS. It is precisely this network of volunteers that is the beating heart of the festival.
Sport, comics, music, and well-being
The program unfolds throughout the afternoon at the Viale della Repubblica sports field and in the spaces of the Società Operaia, mixing different languages and generations:
- Comics and games with Mega Comics, for younger audiences and enthusiasts;
- Sport: volleyball tournament and exhibition by the women's five-a-side football team Boca Girl;
- Health and prevention: life-saving maneuvers and first aid with Croce Verde and Croce Rossa, junior courses and quizzes by Avis;
- Well-being: "Wellness Pills" with interventions by a psychologist and a nutritionist;
- Culture and memory: stories, anecdotes, and a historical exhibition curated by Archeoclub and Centro Studi Civitanovesi;
- Music: the grand evening finale entrusted to the DJ set by Spaghetti a Detroit.
An event for the community
More than just a festival, the VIVAT Festival is an opportunity to rediscover the value of participation and doing things together, giving space to local associations and young people. The setting of Civitanova Alta, with its alleys and its intimate atmosphere, makes the event a moment of authentic encounter for families, young people, and the curious. Admission is free, and the food area remains open for snacks and dinner.
VIVAT Festival — edition 2026
The 2026 edition
The 2026 edition of the VIVAT Festival took place on Saturday, May 23, at the Civitanova Alta sports field, on Viale della Repubblica, starting in the early afternoon.
The program kicked off at 3:00 PM with games and comics by Mega Comics at the Società Operaia, followed by the opening of the food area. Throughout the afternoon, there were events dedicated to culture, health, and prevention, with life-saving maneuvers by Croce Verde and Croce Rossa, and junior courses by Avis.
- 4:30 PM – Volleyball tournament;
- 6:00 PM – "Wellness Pills" with psychologist Chiara Basso;
- 6:30 PM – Exhibition by the women's five-a-side football team Boca Girl;
- 7:00 PM – Talk by nutritionist Elisa Patti and a fun workshop for children;
- In the evening – Grand finale with DJ set by Spaghetti a Detroit and thank yous.

How to get there
By car: Civitanova Marche exit of the A14 motorway, then ascend towards Civitanova Alta. By train: Civitanova Marche-Montegranaro station on the Adriatic line, then continue towards the upper village.
Admission and times
Free admission. Activities take place from the afternoon (from 3:00 PM) until the evening, with a food area for snacks and dinner.
