The Fermo Summer Festival

The VillaInVita Fermo Festival is one of the most anticipated cultural events of the summer in the Marche region. It takes place in the charming park of Villa Vitali, a historic 19th-century residence surrounded by greenery on the outskirts of Fermo, the provincial capital. The review is organized by the Municipality of Fermo together with AMAT (Marche Association for Theatre Activities), with the support of the Marche Region and the Ministry of Culture.

Theatre, Music, and Dance Under the Stars

Now in its eleventh edition, the festival offers a multidisciplinary program each summer, alternating major names in civic and narrative theatre, concerts of the best Italian singer-songwriters, and contemporary dance performances. The open-air arena set up in the Villa Vitali park, with shows usually scheduled at 9:15 PM, creates a unique atmosphere: the audience watches the performances surrounded by the garden's centuries-old trees, in an intimate and secluded setting that has become part of the event's identity.

A Program of Great Performers

Over the years, VillaInVita has hosted prominent national actors, musicians, and companies, featuring specially produced shows, previews, and collaborations with other Marche festivals such as Civitanova Danza and Shakespeare nel Parco. The festival thus confirms itself as a benchmark for the summer cultural offerings in Fermo and the entire Piceno area, capable of attracting a loyal and numerous audience.

Villa Vitali, with its park and the natural science museum housed within, is one of Fermo's symbolic locations. During the festival evenings, the garden comes alive and becomes a natural stage, enhancing a city heritage and offering spectators an experience that combines culture, landscape, and conviviality in the heart of the Marche.
