The Vicenza-Bionde is a classic of Italian cycling reserved for the Under-23 category, founded in 1945 and organized by U.S. Bionde. With dozens of editions behind it, it is one of the longest-running and most followed races in the Veneto amateur cycling scene, a stage where future professionals often make their debut. The race showcases the cycling passion of the Verona area.
The start from the Soave village
In 2026, the start is entrusted to Soave, in the province of Verona, famous for its DOC white wine and its magnificent medieval village dominated by the Scaligero Castle. The km 0 is located in Via Adami, adjacent to the medieval walls: a setting of great charm for the start of a demanding race, which then winds through the Veronese plain to the finish line in Bionde di Salizzole.
An international field
The Vicenza-Bionde attracts over 150 riders and numerous teams each year, including foreign formations: a sign of the race's international prestige. For fans, it is an opportunity to see young talents at work on a course of over 160 kilometers, while for Soave it is a sporting showcase that adds to the village's rich event calendar.
Vicenza-Bionde — edition 2026
The 2026 edition, the 82nd Vicenza-Bionde, was held on Sunday, April 26, starting from Soave. The start from km 0, in Via Adami next to the medieval walls of the eastern Verona village, was given at 2:00 PM. The 164.2 km course led the riders to Bionde di Salizzole, with eight laps of the final circuit.
Over 150 athletes from 25 teams participated in the race, including foreign formations PC Baix Ebre (Spain) and V.C. Mendrisio (Switzerland).

- 2:00 PM — start from km 0 in Via Adami, next to the medieval walls of Soave
- 164.2 km course towards the Veronese plain, passing over Monte Tenda after the start (variation due to road works)

How to get there
Soave can be reached by car from the A4 motorway (Soave-San Bonifacio exit). The start is in Via Adami, next to the medieval walls. Modified traffic is planned near the start.
