Vette d'Arte — International Art Exhibition

An art exhibition among the peaks of Piedmont

Vette d'Arte is an international art exhibition that brings Sestriere to life every spring. Located in the heart of the Piedmont region, this famous alpine resort in the Via Lattea area has hosted the event since 2017. The initiative is promoted by the Orizzonti Contemporanei Association in collaboration with Alhena Editore and is curated by art critic Enzo Nasillo, the event's artistic director.

Europe's highest exhibition space

The artworks are displayed within the Nuova ATL, the Sestriere tourist office located at Via Pinerolo 7. At an altitude of over two thousand meters, it is considered one of the highest exhibition venues in Europe. This high-altitude setting is a hallmark of the exhibition, creating a dialogue between contemporary art and the alpine landscape of the Sestriere municipality.

Italian and international artists

Each edition brings together around twenty selected Italian and international artists working across various visual arts disciplines, including painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media. The international character of the exhibition underscores Sestriere's role as a meeting point for diverse cultures, staying true to the Olympic spirit that made the town famous.

Awards and cultural gatherings

Alongside the exhibition, the event presents various creative awards, including the Vette d'Arte and Cime Letterarie prizes, which expand the focus from visual arts to literature. The exhibition is held under the patronage of the Municipality of Sestriere, the Piedmont Region, and the Metropolitan City of Turin.

A spring-time highlight

Held between mid and late March, Vette d'Arte coincides with the end of the ski season, offering tourists and art lovers a chance to discover contemporary creativity in an extraordinary setting. Admission is free during the tourist office's opening hours, making the exhibition accessible to all visitors in Sestriere.
