Veglio Food and Wine Walks - In the Footsteps of the Gargotte

Before the official return, the food and wine walks of Veglio (Province of Biella, Piedmont) had been on hold for a few years. The formula remains the one that made this event a classic loved by the community: a walk of several kilometers through the village streets and trails, punctuated by food and wine stops featuring local dishes and selected wines. The common thread has always been the connection to the Gargotte, the neighborhood social clubs where bulk wine was bought and consumed, of which the Circolo Familiare Botto remains a witness today. The initiative, managed by the Pro Loco of Veglio with DocBi and municipal patronage, is an opportunity to rediscover the popular history of the village and its convivial identity.
