An evening of live music in Piazza Giovanni XXIII, in the heart of Alta Val Tidone
Every summer, the Val Tidone Festival transforms the small villages of Val Tidone and Val Luretta into open-air stages, and Trevozzo is one of the most evocative stops. A hamlet of the Municipality of Alta Val Tidone, in the province of Piacenza (Emilia-Romagna), Trevozzo hosts the evening concert in the central Piazza Giovanni XXIII, attracting music lovers from all over the valley and from the provincial capital.
Promoted by the Val Tidone Musica Foundation, based in Sarmato, and supported by the Fondazione di Piacenza e Vigevano, the festival is a historic event that annually involves the municipalities of Val Tidone and Val Luretta — including Alta Val Tidone, Pianello, Borgonovo, Castel San Giovanni, Sarmato, Agazzano, and Ziano — as well as the city of Piacenza. The artistic direction is entrusted to Livio Bollani.
The festival's program blends big names in Italian singer-songwriting, jazz, and light music with emerging young talents, often from the prestigious Val Tidone International Competitions. The touring format allows attendees to discover live music and the valley's villages, castles, and squares simultaneously, in an intimate and familiar atmosphere far from large arenas.
The Trevozzo stop is part of a journey that, every summer, brings artists capable of exciting audiences of all ages to the valley, in a cozy and welcoming setting at the foot of the Piacenza Apennines.
The 28th edition of the Val Tidone Festival (June 7 - October 16, 2026, 17 concerts) stops in Trevozzo on Friday, July 10, 2026. In Piazza Giovanni XXIII, at 9:15 PM, Cani della Biscia take the stage with their show "15 anni da Cani".
The Piacenza-based band celebrates fifteen years of activity with a tribute concert that revisits their repertoire, on an open-air summer evening in the village of Alta Val Tidone. The event, with free admission, is organized by the Val Tidone Musica Foundation with artistic direction by Livio Bollani.
