Every summer, the Val Tidone Festival transforms the small municipalities of Valtidone and Valluretta into open-air stages, and Piozzano is one of the most evocative stops on the circuit. In the Municipality of Piozzano, in the province of Piacenza (Emilia-Romagna), the central Piazza dei Tigli hosts an evening concert that attracts music lovers from all over the valley and from the provincial capital.
A festival spread across the territory
Promoted by the Val Tidone Musica Foundation, with the support of the Fondazione di Piacenza e Vigevano, the festival is a historic event that involves all the municipalities of Valtidone-Valluretta every year — including Piozzano, Agazzano, Pianello, Borgonovo, Castel San Giovanni, Calendasco, Sarmato, Gazzola, Gragnano Trebbiense, and Ziano Piacentino — as well as the city of Piacenza. The artistic direction is entrusted to Livio Bollani.
Live music among the valley's villages
The festival's program intertwines big names in singer-songwriter music, jazz, and international music with emerging young talents, often from the prestigious Val Tidone International Competitions. The itinerant format allows visitors to discover live music and the villages, castles, and squares of the Piacenza valley at the same time, on a journey that spans the entire summer.

The 28th edition of the Val Tidone Festival (June 7 - October 16, 2026, 17 concerts) stops in Piozzano on Saturday, July 11, 2026. In Piazza dei Tigli, at 9:15 PM, the Samantha Iorio Soul Band takes the stage with the show "Ladies in Soul".
The show is a tribute to the great female voices of soul music, reinterpreted with elegance and expressive power by singer Samantha Iorio and her band. An outdoor summer evening, in the Municipality of Piozzano (Piacenza, Emilia-Romagna), celebrating the warmth and depth of the soul repertoire in the evocative setting of the Val Luretta.
The event is organized by the Fondazione Val Tidone Musica with the artistic direction of Livio Bollani.

How to get there
Piozzano is located in the hills of Val Luretta, about 30 km from Piacenza. By car, from the A21 (Piacenza Ovest exit), continue towards Val Tidone and Val Luretta along the provincial roads. The concert takes place in Piazza dei Tigli, in the center of the town.
Admission
Admission is free until all seats are filled, no reservation required. It is advisable to arrive early to secure a seat. In case of bad weather, the concert will be postponed to a date to be announced on the festival's official channels.
