Trout Festival

The 2025 Trout Festival in Capestrano was held on August 11 and 12, 2025, in the equipped area of Località San Giovanni, in front of the Convent of San Giovanni da Capestrano, with stands opening from 7:00 PM. Organized by the Pro Loco Capestrano, the event celebrated the trout from the Tirino River, cooked grilled and in numerous other preparations.

The menu offered baked trout fillets, pasta with trout sauce, as well as porchetta, mountain cheeses, aged prosciutto, fried pizzas, and Capestrano almond pastries, accompanied by local wines. After dinner, the band enlivened the evenings with dance music and liscio, in a festive atmosphere that involved the entire community of the Abruzzese village.
